Bus Driver in New Taipei Strikes Three Vehicles, Female Passenger Dies Due to Suspected Dizziness

This afternoon (13th), a severe traffic accident occurred in Zhonghe, New Taipei City. A bus driver, after a traffic light turned green, accelerated unexpectedly, colliding with a taxi and a private car parked at the red light, resulting in a chain reaction. A 54-year-old female passenger was tragically pulled under the bus and subsequently pronounced dead after medical assistance.
Preliminary reports indicate the 60-year-old bus driver has a history of diabetes and was driving erratically, applying sudden brakes and accelerating dangerously before the accident occurred. Witnesses described the incident happening on a busy roadway, and the crashing noises shocked those nearby.
