Trump Announces 30% Tariff on EU and Mexico
U.S. President Donald Trump has recently revealed the fourth wave of tariffs on his social media platform, 'Truth Social,' announcing that starting August 1, a 30% tariff will be imposed on products from Mexico. Similarly, exports to the EU will also face a 30% tariff.
Previously, on April 2, Trump introduced new tariff policies that set the tariff on Mexico at 25% and the EU at 20%, both lower than today’s announced rates. So far, Trump has issued four waves of tariff letters affecting 24 nations and the EU, excluding Taiwan.
