Han Kuang Exercise Features First Live Fire of M1A2T Tank to Strengthen Anti-Landing Operations
The Han Kuang exercise for 2025 has commenced, featuring the first live-fire demonstration of the M1A2T tank, dubbed as the 'strongest tank on Earth', along with the deployment of the Himars rocket system. This Han Kuang exercise is set to last 10 days and nights, marking the longest in history. Both the military and civilians must mobilize fully to tackle increasingly complex warfare scenarios.
In response to ongoing Chinese gray zone tactics, the exercise aims to enhance capabilities in regional denial and resilience against maritime isolation or blockades. In contrast, the Beijing government criticized the exercise as mere 'bluster'.
