On October 8, Dongyuan Grain and Taiwan Yumi Industrial held a promotion press conference in Yunlin, announcing the successful export of 1,200 tons of quality Zhuoshui rice to eight European countries. This marks a new milestone for Taiwanese agricultural exports.

Attendees included Deputy Director Hsu Hui-ying of the Central District Agricultural Office, Yunlin County Mayor Chang Li-shan, and several farmers. Mayor Chang pointed out that the rice is exported to countries including France, Switzerland, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, the UK, and Germany, representing an unprecedented agricultural achievement.

The main product is 'Snow Crane Sushi Rice', sourced from contracted rice cultivation in Yunlin's Erlun and Lunbei, with over 300 farmers involved and a contracted area of 1,000 hectares. Chairman Lee Yuan-hao emphasized that farmers are the true contributors to this success.

All exported rice has passed EU food inspection and safety regulations and will be sold through local agents to supermarkets and restaurants, further enhancing the international visibility of Taiwanese rice.

Hsu Hui-ying mentioned that the successful entry into eight European countries is not only a quantitative achievement but also establishes international quality certification and brand value, serving as a model for future agricultural exports.
