Fukuoka's Michelin Star Kaiseki Popup: Nagaoka & Hatsuyu's Culinary Event

Recently held at the Grand Hotel in Taipei, a two-day popup event featured Fukuoka's Michelin star Kaiseki restaurant 'Nihon Ryori - Nagaoka' in collaboration with Hatsuyu's Toyo Group, allowing diners to experience the essence of Japanese cuisine.

Chef Nagaoka Shugo promotes the belief of 'no rice, no food,' using rice he personally cultivates as part of his Kaiseki dishes, emphasizing the importance of rice quality while blending traditional and innovative flavors.

The dishes exhibited the concept of rice's omnipresence, from steamed rice to rice cakes, each bite was rich with stories and attention to detail. Not only did Chef Nagaoka provide fresh Kaiseki, he also designed a Tanabata wish card activity, highlighting the deep cultural connections of Japanese cuisine, creating a unique experience for diners.
