National Defense Great Procession Reaches Hsinchu, Public Supports Dual Recall Movements
During the National Defense Great Procession, as the parade reached Hsinchu City, a large crowd of supporters cheered for Mayor Gao Hong-an, who is facing a recall, and Kuomintang legislator Zheng Zheng-qian. The event drew many participants, including thousands of motorcycles in procession. Democratic Progressive Party legislators Ker Chien-ming and Wang Yi-chuan also came to rally support for the recall team. Gao and Zheng shared the stage to appeal for public support and promote their achievements in hopes of salvaging their election prospects.
