Former UMC Chairman Cao Hsing-Cheng stated at the "Mobilization Against Communism" event in Taichung on the evening of the 12th that, with China's economy declining, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) cannot and will not attack Taiwan. He criticized KMT legislators for being too close to the CCP and betraying the nation, emphasizing that these individuals are merely shifting focus by attacking President Lai Ching-Te.

Cao pointed out that KMT legislators, criticized for being pro-CCP and selling out Taiwan, dare not respond directly. He also mentioned that KMT members avoid discussing who the actual hostile forces are, criticizing figures like Lien Sheng-Wen for claiming to be Chinese and diminishing Taiwan’s status in media interviews. He urged people not to fear and stressed that Taiwan will respond with courage to defend its freedom and democracy.

Additionally, he noted that the CCP is facing severe economic issues, and Xi Jinping's regime is losing its grip, leading him to believe that the CCP lacks the capacity to attack Taiwan. He called on the public not to be deceived and stated that through the recall actions, Taiwan will demonstrate its resolve to unite and protect the nation.
