A shocking honor killing incident occurred in Pakistan where a 17-year-old girl was shot dead by her father for refusing to delete her TikTok account. According to reports, the girl, Mehak Shahzadi, had been repeatedly asked by her father, Akhlaq Ahmed, to remove the account, as he believed her online visibility damaged the family’s honor.

The incident took place in Rawalpindi, where, on the day of the event, Akhlaq demanded once again that his daughter delete her account. In a fit of rage, he shot her on the spot. Mehak collapsed immediately, and Akhlaq fled the scene. Police were alerted and launched a manhunt, eventually arresting him on the 9th and seizing the firearm used in the crime.
