Trump Announces 30% Tariffs on Mexico and EU
On December 12, U.S. President Donald Trump announced a new round of tariffs, imposing a 30% duty on imports from Mexico and the European Union starting August 1.
In a post on social media, Trump revealed that he had sent letters to the leaders of the EU and Mexico, informing them of the upcoming tariffs. This follows three previous rounds of tariffs that affected countries including Japan and South Korea, with Taiwan not being included in the measures.
