Chinese Coast Guard Intrudes into Kinmen Waters, Taiwanese Coast Guard Responds Swiftly

Recently, Chinese Coast Guard vessels have repeatedly harassed the waters near Kinmen by shutting down their AIS (Automatic Identification System), totaling 78 incidents. On the afternoon of the 10th, four Chinese Coast Guard ships entered Taiwanese waters from both sides of Kinmen.
The Kinmen and Matsu Coast Guard Branch detected these vessels suspected of having their AIS turned off and made radio calls to the Chinese ships warning them of their unauthorized entry into Taiwanese waters, demanding they turn back immediately. Under strict surveillance by Taiwanese patrol boats, these Chinese vessels left the Taiwanese waters around 5 PM.
The Coast Guard deployed four patrol vessels in response to this incursion, issuing stern warnings against the Chinese vessels entering the jurisdictional waters and maintaining full monitoring and removal operations to safeguard national sovereignty.
