Japan's Popular Donut Brand 'I’m donut?' Opens in Taipei with Three Exclusive Flavors

‘I’m donut?’ is a donut specialty store from Japan that has gained immense popularity for its unique texture and design. Since opening its first shop in Nakameguro, Tokyo in 2021, it has quickly become a must-visit food hotspot. On July 4, the brand is set to open its first overseas location in Taipei's East District, featuring three exclusive flavors for Taiwan.
These donuts differ significantly from traditional dry confections, offering a soft and moist texture that is cloud-like and airy. Founder Ryota Hirako transitioned from fashion design to the food industry, developing the brand from a bakery in Fukuoka. The new store's design reflects the brand's understated and rustic style, featuring a long counter where customers can see the donut-making process, enhancing their participatory experience.
In addition to the classic 12 flavors, the Taipei store will introduce three Taiwan-inspired donuts: 'Super Taiwan,' 'Banana Milk Tea,' and 'Fruit Pudding.' Each flavor showcases the brand's meticulous approach to ingredients, aiming to foster an emotional connection with Taiwanese consumers.
