Japanese Politician Takashi Tachibana Sparks Controversy with Discriminatory Remarks

As Japan approaches its House of Councillors election, Takashi Tachibana, leader of the NHK Party, has drawn international media attention for his openly discriminatory remarks. During a street speech, he stated that he feels fear when seeing groups of Black individuals or Muslims, while feeling less afraid of White people.
Tachibana expressed his fear of foreigners, stating that he feels unsure of their language abilities when encountering groups at night. His past controversial statements include advocating for genocide as a solution to overpopulation. In March, he was attacked with a knife in the street, resulting in injuries to his head and neck, sparking significant public outcry regarding his views.
